Dashboards
Operations Dashboard
The operations dashboard provides complete
drill-down and drill-through decision support related to asset
outages and resource performance. Integration with operations
management, SCADA, GIS, mobile computing, and other external systems
provide real time and near-real time business insight to the user
as the events unfold.
Typical analytical elements include:
- Asset Status (transformers, primary circuits,
substations)
- Number of customers impacted by the outage
- Spatial representation of the outage
- Spatial designation of customer impact
- Location of mobile workforce closest
to the work
- Average restoration times, dispatched
percentage of jobs and workloads
- IEEE indice reporting such as SAIDI,
CAIDI, SAIFI, CAIFI, CMI, and MAIFI.
- Current weather conditions in the area
that may impact the work load throughout the day
Additionally, as events unfold, tactical
actions to resolve the outage are reflected against corporate
objectives.

Work Management Dashboard
The WMS dashboard brings together critical business intelligence
normally buried within your work management and other related
systems.
WMS spatial and schematic information mapping includes:
- Status and tracking of planned and unplanned
work orders
- Extensive drill-down by location/area, type
of work, and other factors
- Work order delays due to parts shortage,
switching conflicts, etc.
- Work order compliance tracking for service
order commitments
- Crew utilization
- Overall equipment efficiencies (OEE) from
the plant to the equipment level, taking into account production
levels, quality, and net efficiencies
- Scheduling/Planning Efficiency Performance
- Identification of events/tasks/processes
that impact performance
The WMS dashboard also helps you decide where your dollars
should be spent in order to generate the biggest impact on your
corporate objectives, which could be lowering costs, reducing
the minutes of customer interruption, increasing net availabilities,
reducing equipment failures, or improving performance indices
such as CAID, SAIDI, or CAIFI.

Customer Service Dashboard
The customer service digital dashboard allows customer service
representatives to have immediate access to detailed information
that enables a timely and accurate response from the call
center.
Analytical data points include:
- Customer location
- Current outages or events in the area that
impact the customer
- Historical problems such as outages, momentaries,
and billing or service complaints that effect customer satisfaction
- Billing information
- Usage trends that communicate to the company
the customer’s expected growth/contraction rates
- Planned or future work (construction, service
work, planned switching) that will impact the customer’s
request for additional work or future plans
The usage information available from this dashboard also
supports forecasting and trending of growth and future demand.

Financial-Budget Tracking Dashboard

This view compiles the business intelligence required to
proactively manage budgets with full drill-down and drill-through
support.
The financial-budget tracking dashboard:
- Trends actual vs. budget spending system-wide,
by department, and by timeframe dimensions
- Details causes of budget variances
- Trends budget direction and alerts users
of impending negative effects
- Compares against past budget cycles

Employee Scorecard Dashboard
(Resource
Scorecarding)
Employee Scorecarding supports corporate performance management
(CPM) initiatives by providing an integrated repository of
performance metrics that enable knowledgeable adoption and
agile revisions of specific, measurable business objectives.
This dashboard automatically:
Detailed analysis is available at many levels, including
employee, customer resource management, cost/financial, environmental,
operational, work management, supply chain, and asset levels.

Supplier Scorecard Dashboard
Supplier Scorecarding supports over 25 key performance
indicators relevant to vendor performance, quality, price,
and other related factors. This knowledge provides the ability
to identify and establish relationships with preferred suppliers
who are most capable of supporting your supply chain objectives.
Supplier Scorecarding enables companies to:
- Reduce their purchase price by providing
detailed information on each supplier
- Monitor purchase price variances (PPV)by
vendor and/or commodity
- Improve vendor performance established
by the company’s objectives
- Improve quality
- Improve delivery performance
- Reduce days payable outstanding (DPO)
Drill-down capabilities allow tracking from the vendor
to the commodity to the part/material level.

Vegetation/Forestry Dashboard
Vegetation management is optimized with the forestry dashboard.
Major benefits can be realized by compiling disparate system
data to resolve failures in the field caused by trees or vegetation.
The forestry dashboard can:
- Quantify customers and assets experiencing
outages and the average outage duration
- Demonstrate the impact of vegetation-related
failures to the company with IEEE indice reporting and time
per event statistics
- Spatially represent vegetation density
in a given area
- Highlight where vegetation dollars need
to be invested based on growth trends and asset failures caused
by vegetation related issues
- Reporting on contractor performance by
monitoring events in that are related to vegetation issues.

Congestion Management Dashboard
With the congestion management dashboard, a utility can
identify potential transmission congestion conflicts. Integration
with SCADA, ISO, GIS, metering, and substation data, along
with ties into devices such as sagometers and tensionometers,
proves essential to enabling timely, effective action.
Benefits of this dashboard include:
- Quantifying assets out of service by type
- Spatial rendering of affected areas
- Depicting forecast vs. actual demand loads
- Summarizing costs and cost components by
location
- Providing forecasted loads based on historical
analysis
- Facilitating transmission routing
- Reducing excessive congestion and line
loss fees
- Contingency planning
- Long-range planning

Transit System Dashboard
Rail, bus, and paratransit performance is trended and optimized
with the transit dashboard. A critical impact to a Transit’s
revenue objectives is directly related to Ridership which
is heavily determined by Customer satisfaction. Ridership/customer
satisfaction rides on the ability keep the assets running
on schedule. FocalPoint assists the transit customer on identifying
the failures that prevent the achievement of these commitments,
the cause of the failures, and the potential resolution.
Drill-down and drill-through performance indicators assess:
- Revenue to ridership
- Ridership to customer satisfaction
- Customer satisfaction to on-time performance
- On-time performance to asset net availability
and Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE)
- The location of bottlenecks caused by equipment
failure or traffic-related issues
